Inauguration of Overlord Hall Expo, a new venue dedicated to transmission

18 June 2025

On June 6, 2025, the museum inaugurated a brand-new space: the Overlord Hall Expo, a space designed to host temporary exhibitions, seminars and conferences, and thus extend the mission of transmitting memory to the heart of the site.

The inauguration took place in the presence of 23 American veterans of the Second World War, who had come with the Best Defense Foundation, underlining the symbolic significance of this new space for exchange and reflection.

The tricolor ribbon was cut by Antoine Leloup, son of the museum’s President and Founder, in a powerful gesture: that of youth taking over, aware of the heritage it carries. In an emotional moment, a fragment of the ribbon was presented to the veterans, in tribute to their commitment and the memory they embody.
